Cheater?

Im just a member of one of the lists, but I am dissapointed that the moderator of the list can not be contacted as the top site is definitely cheating to get their rank.

The number one website went to 200 votes day within a couple of days of joining and then suddenly to 460, where it has stayed comfortably above everyone else for a couple of weeks.

When they first went to the #1 spot they didnt even have the voting code on their website, now its added at the very bottom.

Can anything be done?

I am the Moderator of the list in issue. The website in question has been a member of the list almost since it was started a year and a half ago. They have had the voting code on their site for some time, which is something I appreciate greatly.

I was not contacted regarding this issue by jfarmer and do not think that this issue has been treated fairly, for both the site in question and my top site list. As it stands, the list's votes are now far in the negatives, which affects its standing under the health category. This affects all the great sites on this list.

I will be monitoring the rest of the site members much more closely for evidence of false voting. I hope that you will be able to change the negative votes of this site back to a reasonable positive number that neither places them at the top nor bottom of the list.

By the way, I am unable to log in to this help forum using my top list ID, but can log in to the list just fine.

Zoe,

After my investigation of the original claims clear evidence of deliberate fraudulent voting was revealed. Cheating isn't fair, which is why they have been effectively removed from the list.

Apologies about your ranking in the directory, that was unintended side-effect. To correct your list's standings in the health category then either disable or delete their account.
