Portal info and custom html?

I decided I wanted to use custom html for my list site. I nested the list in a table and created a side bar to the left hand side for links, info, etc. I was wondering if it's possible to still have some of the items that are available in the portal area to be manually added to my side bar? Specifically I'd like to have the statistics of the site to show. Who is online wouldn't be bad either.

I've been tweaking this list site all day and I can't seem to make myself stop! Laughing

Your list layout is looking great. Glad you are having fun with it.

Here's a tip: If you set all of the table color attributes then the ads will get matched to your layout better for a more integrated look.

I've wondered if people would want to use some of the data from the portal modules on the custom HTML page, that would be really cool. I'd use that myself on my own lists. I'll have to look into it and see what we can do. Thanks!

I'll play around with the color table attributes. That is one thing I haven't messed with yet. Very Happy

I know it's not possible to do yet, but have you thought about being able to set the table color to invisible rather than a specific color? The fabric background I used is very light and subtle and I wonder what it would look like showing through. Or perhaps be able to use an image for that area instead of color. Just a thought.

Come back and visit in a few months and I'm sure it'll look different. I find I'll keep playing around until I find something I really like. Then it only lasts until I get tired of it!

As far as the topic of the original message, I think it would be really nice to be able to use the portal attributes. Now it's up to you all to figure out how it can ge done! Laughing

Now here's another question. Is there any way to change the font size for the site description? That side of the table is so wide that I think it would look better if the font could be a little bigger.

Sorry to bother you again.

The stats aren't working quite right yet. The user information works fine, but it's not keeping track of the votes and hits.

Karen, those two numbers are cached, meaning that they are computed occasionally. This saves a little bit on server resources. You'll find that they will lag behind your real counts a bit, but the bigger your list gets the less you will notice. Wink
