Email activation is not working... and more

I created my page and entered the first shop. It seems OK.

When I tried to add a second shop, the email activation message did not occur. I tried it again with a third 'test' account, and it did not receive the activation email either. I tried to send a mass email to my list, and nobody received the email.

When I look at my number 2 (listed as user 3) in my member list, the website shows as an asterisk, even though it is entered correctly. It also says the voting code must be added, but it has been. I had to go in and activate user 3 manually & add the banner under my admin account.

How long does it take to receive the activation email?

How long until mass emails are received?

Am I having trouble with user 3 because I tried to set up two users within 24 hours?

I need to make sure this works before I can promote my site.

Emails usually go out immediately, but once message leaves the server it's out of our control. Mass mails are lower priority and may take day or two at worse to complete. The reason is the batch may get tied up on bad emails in your membership.

This only happens when the member has no votes.

Right, but at that moment there were no votes.

Usually within 5 minutes.

No, that won't cause a problem.

Right, but at that moment there were no votes.

Hi Mark,

I am having this problem as well at this time.

As the original poster's problem seemed to settle itself after a short period, for some unknown reason, I'll check it tomorrow night. But if not this post will be near the top so I don't have to search for it and add my details.

None of my registered members banners are showing up. This is the 2nd topsite Ive had to create due to this in 3 days.
The email still hasnt reached one of my members with a yahoo address..
Heres my site, see for yourself

* (As soon as I was about to hit send, a member that registered over 7 hours ago, his banner showed up...I've been in and out of that site all day and it wasnt on till now WTF ?)

I just created a top site yesterday and tested it with a new banner. The activation email was never received. I had to activate it manually for the banner to show up.

Please advise how to correct?

Looks good from here. I'm seeing lots of banners. Good work, your list looks great.

I would say check your spam folders and all that. Once the email leaves the server it's out of our control.
