Members have the choice of selecting from over 275 different Styles for their list, or using a Custom HTML layout.

The Styles option supports many Portal features and provides the opportunity to create a whole website with top site list, forum, blog, polls. etc. The Custom HTML option is good for those that want a simple no-frills top site list, or need to blend the layout with their existing website.

I've actully got a couple of styles ready. Just can't decide if I want users to be able to change between styles.

Is there a way to have the top site page look like one style only and the forum pages be another style (don't know that much about php)?

One thought, most users will never realize if you have made multiple styles available (unless you tell them, and even then not likely to get it or change Wink ).

The styles of the homepage and forum pages are tied together, so there isn't really a way to skin them differently.

It's a brilliant option and I probably could do something cool with it but the integrated forum and stuff, like the side modules and things, it's a bit of a "larger" task for me. I'm not an expert so I'll stick with the custom styles and just tweak the modules etc.

The metatag can't be edited, however this will provide hardly any ranking value as the meta tag was abandoned as an SEO factor by the engines many years ago.

The good news is that anchor text is in your hands. The anchor text that matters most, is the anchor text that sits on other domains and links back to your site. So, if you have another website besides your list, this is where you can maximize the value of your anchor text SEO.
