Mike,
Here are the steps that you can follow to diagnose your HTML issue, that is causing your page to be messed-up and your list to not appear...
- Login to your admin panel and go to the Portal Config section.
- Disable all of the custom areas. (Leave the text, just turn it off.)
At this point your list will be fixed for visitors, but you still need to address the issue...
- One at a time, check each of the custom modules: Enable only one of the modules at a time, and check to see if your page looks okay afterwards. If so, make a note of it, and move on to the next custom module until you checked each one.
At this point you will know which module causes the problem. Leave this module off for a moment, so your list will still work for visitors.
Make a copy of your HTML from the custom area with the problem. Save it on your computer in a file or whatever. Then completely remove the HTML from the one problematic custom area, and also enable it.
At this point all custom modules are enabled, but one is empty.
Next, carefully rebuild your HTML a step at a time. Each time you add something to your custom area, make a new backup copy on your computer. Then if something goes wrong, you have the old HTML to fall back to. |
